Warrant

The Temple of the Silver Star was founded by explicit warrant from Soror Meral (Phyllis Seckler), as a continuation of her life’s work. This warrant (displayed below) was given to our founding Chancellor prior to Soror Meral’s death in 2004.

The family of Phyllis Seckler has acknowledged the Temple of the Silver Star as the sole legal custodian of Phyllis Seckler’s literary estate, library, and archives, pursuant to the stipulations of Ms. Seckler’s Last Will.

“To All Whom it May Concern,

Do what whout wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

This letter shall serve as certification that David Shoemaker has my explicit authorization and warrant to establish, at the time and place and in the manner of his choosing, an autonomous ceremonial and initiatory Order. This Order, under the leadership of David Shoemaker and his appointed successors, is to be recognized as a direct and authorized continuation of the work of the A∴A∴, the College of Thelema, and the ⬛⬛⬛⬛. This Order may however, at the sole discretion of David Shoemaker, operate without formal affiliation with, or oversight by, the A∴A∴, the College of Thelema, and the ⬛⬛⬛⬛.

Furthermore, as a bearer of the link to the source of the A∴A∴ tradition, I hereby affirm David Shoemaker‘s irrevocable status as an initiate of the A∴A∴, and his authority to admit, supervise and train initiates of the A∴A∴, as his conscience dictates.

Love is the law, love under will.

Signed this 13th day of October, 2000 e.v.”
